In the connecting lines, it does not have a category to show divorce.  The wedding date is input and also Divorced.  Why does the dashed line not show up??

Under Options, there is a dropdown that lets you set what the lines look like for "Other partners". One of the options is a dotted line.

Divorced does not show up with the Other partners line choice unfortunately. It shows up with the current partners one.

Edit: It is not the type or relationship that seems to matter for this. Instead you have to click "change or delete" and change the partner to ex-partner.

Just to put what Kvothe said in the comment sectin ointo an answer:

When you mark two people as divorced, the program does not currently update them from "partners" to "ex-partners". You can do this manually by choosing "Change or delete" then "Change Partners" then clicking the appropriet option.
