When I share a family tree to a family member and they edit it, will it effect the same tree on my account

I emailed the tree to other family members and know for sure that many of them edited their details or added photos but I don't see them in my version.

For a long time, they would be editing the same tree. There have been things posted lately that make me thing the developer is making changes to the way sharing the tree works. But nothing has been anounced yet.
