I don't know if you can do it for just one male partner, but you can change th male to be the left partner by default in the options menu.
If you click show options, the options menu will show up. You're looking for the third item in the fifth column, Left partner, which is autmoatically set to female. Just click it and select Male from the drop-down menu.
