I found the duplication and cannot determine how to connect their common ancestor. So now I have two duplicate branches from the GGP back.  If I were to delete one branch and re-enter, I still can't find a feature that allows me to connect to someone (great grandparents) already existing in the tree.

More Action -> Set Parents will let you set a parent to someone who is already in the family tree. You might have to add placeholder parents to conenct them.
