The graph only shows either the parents and siblings of my wife or myself singly and not at the same time..

I cannot get all those names  simultaneously.  How can I achieve this?

To display both your own and your wife's parts of the tree, you will need to click on someone who is part of both parts, ie your child(ren). If you don't have children you could just add a blank box as your child, and use that for viewing purposes.
