Chages made are gone on next log in

When I set up background colour, text and box size, and what is to appear in the box (death and birth date etc.) and log out, the next time i log on it has all reversed back to facyory settings

Data such as options is stored localy and not your account. Meaning if you log in on another device the options are going to be what you set on that device ad vice versa.
