I would like to edit my large file to create a subset of my immediate family.

I would like to create a file which shows my immediate family ...including great grand parents but eliminating uncles, aunts, second cousins etc....This intended to be part of a gift from my parents to their grandchildren hence the limits.

i reccomend just making a copy (download through GEDCOM or FamilyScript then import) and deleting the people you dont want to show.
otherwise you could use a text editing app to change the contents of the FamilyScript file, though that might be a little complicated.
