Why do ancestors disappear after I've added them?

I've added ten children of my great great grandparents. When I go back to them they don't show on the tree so I have to find them again by clicking on the list of all the people in the tree. They are still there but some families just don't show when I'm looking at another family. I hope someone can help me, thankyou.

If you click on your great grandparents, then all their children should show. You can also adjust the 'Parents', 'Children' and 'Others' menu to show more generations on your family tree.
