Hi!

In my ancestry "research" I found out, that some of my great(...)grand-parents have a common great(...)grand-father. This person is already written as an ancestor of one of these. Do you know how to add him to the another one?

Thanks!!!

I have a similar problem, and DanUgrin's guide helped me. I will also add that if you plan more detailed research, I recommend taking this issue more seriously. For example, I thought I would only need topical books or articles when doing a climate change study. As a result, I found the most useful thoughts for myself on https://phdessay.com/free-essays-on/climate-change/ where unique papers from professional authors are collected. They did not contain dry figures and huge meaningless tables based on someone's conjectures, only verified facts. I am used to employing the full range of information in my research and trust only trusted sources.

I'm assuming you have a mother on the tree and you want to add a father that is already listed somewhere else on the tree. You should:

1. Delete "Father of ..." from the parent pair if it is there.  Just leave the mother. (Click on the "Father of...", select change or delete etc.)

2. Click back on the mother's entry and select add partner/ex.

3. Click on "Partner with person allready on tree."

4. Select the person from the drop down list.

5. Click on the appropriate Add as... button.

Should work but haven't tried it myself.
