I input all manner of dates and stories into my family tree.  Now I'm concerned that some family members might not like having their stories and dates shared with everyone else on the tree, and potentially with anyone else on earth.  Is there a switch I can throw which only shows names and associations, but leaves out dates and stories?

Instead of sharing the family tree with them (as this I think would give the recipient all the information and biographies) you could alternatively send it to them as a pdf file- which you can download- or as a screenshot which you could also send. I hope this helps.
