All data about great grandparents and beyond has been removed from my tree.

Are you sure you are accessing the same tree? You can see a list of your family trees by clicking 'My Account' in the top right of the page.

You can also access the history of your family tree, using the link next to the title, to see if someone you shared the family tree with has removed any information.
