How can I create a child-parents-relationship with people already in the tree?

Question

Is there similar to the possibility of connecting a partner with an already existing person in the tree to connect a child or a parent to an already existing person? I discovered that because of a cross marriage between two branches of the same family a child needs to be connected to already existing parents. Or do I need to rearrange the entire tree?

Select child - select Personal tab - Change or delete - Change parents - Chose new parents from tree
