Can you have a longer date?

I am creating a Star Wars family tree. The dates in star wars are, for example, "5 ABY" or "10 BBY". However, in the birth date and death date year box, it only lets me type 4 characters, including spaces. Does anyone know a way to put more then that so I can also put in ABY or BBY?
