More than 1 person to edit the total tree

my aunt and I are working together but are about 3000 miles apart.  Is there a way for both of us to be able to edit the one file?  I have tried her password and logon, but it's not allowing me access.  (unless she didn't send me the exact wording)

Click the share button in top right after clicking her on the tree, then make sure the "allow them to edit" box is checked before sending them the email.
