Key (Legend) has disappeared

What happened ? There used to be an option to hide/show key legend. I no longer see that option. Also the "show" menu used to appear in a drop-down box but now it's laid out in columns. What happened ? How to get either of those back again?

The "hide/show..." function is supported with a button at the lower left of the tree frame.

The show menu has been replaced to give more options to choose what is displayed in the tree view.  Users have been requesting this ability for years so it is unlikly to be changed.  This is a welcome upgrade IMHO.
