If I share the link to the family tree, will that allow that person to edit the tree also?

Wondering if there was any way to know if that is possible. Also wanted to know if its possible to upload from a saved tree?

Yes. When you share your family echo tree, you can say whether or not the link allows them to edit the tree. Note that you can never revoke editing right, even if you delete the tree.
 

Yes, you can import from either a GEDCOM file or from a FamilyScript file.
