Duplicates are not a problem. They happen when one person is realated to different people in your tree in different ways. For instance, your Aunt Mabel might also be your second cousin once removed (or whatever).
There's is usually no good way to draw the lines so that these two relationships can be shown with only one box for that person, so "duplicate" boxes are used instead.
